Kayt Band was founded in 2017 with the aim of presenting traditional  Armenian music with fresh, modern approach. Kayt performs folk songs and melodies passed down through oral tradition and recorded in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. The band is the first to stage many Armenian folk songs and strives to integrate them into contemporary musical life. Their performances include wedding, exile, lyrical, and other genres, arranged in folk-fusion style that incorporates Armenian wind, string, and percussion instruments alongside modern international instruments.
